PiemontE Wine Tour
For Friends of IDLEWILD WINES
NOVEMBER 3 - 9, 2025
Welcome to PiemontE, ITALY
Idlewild has teamed up with Leslie Rosa, sommelier and founder of La Dolce Vigna Wine + Culture Tour Co., for an adventure in Piemonte!
Our week-long tour takes you to the heart of the region’s viticultural and gastronomic traditions: the Langhe. This fog-kissed, undulating landscape just a couple hours from Turin is truly a treasure trove of indigenous grape varieties and the home of two of Italy’s most sought after red wines — Barolo and Barbaresco. We will be exploring the varieties that have been staples of Idlewild’s wines, such as Nebbiolo and Arneis, as well as many more: Barbera, Dolcetto, Pelaverga, Grignolino, Ruché, Freisa, Brachetto, Cortese and Nascetta to name a few!
Besides its incredible wines, Piemonte is also the birthplace of the Slow Food movement, a myriad of medieval castles, the elusive white truffle, and a proud and hearty cuisine. To top it all off, UNESCO recently included the Langhe on their World Heritage List for vineyard landscape. Andar per Langa — to wander along the region’s ridges — hence means to lose yourself in the stunning scenery, to savor the land’s rich bounty, and to appreciate a slower, more humane pace. We hope you can join us!
“WOW! What a fantastic trip. We were incredibly impressed with the planning and organization exhibited throughout the entire week. The wineries, winemakers and wine families who we were introduced to were nothing short of amazing and showcased the effort and passion that these families bring to their wines, year after year. ”

“Leslie knows how to plan a trip of a lifetime!”
Ciao! My name is Leslie Rosa. After a decade of working in the art world for eminent institutions and artists in New York and London, I moved to Italy, fell in love with the diversity of Italian wine and became a certified sommelier with the Associazione Italiana Sommelier.
As an art-curator-turned-sommelier, my passion is to create immersive experiences and itineraries in which each day tells a story and offers an in-depth look at the history and culture of a particular region through the lens of wine.
When not leading tours, you can find me doing pop-up wine tastings, writing for the Slow Wine Guide, or getting lost someplace beautiful with my travel watercolor set!
